J. D. Duncan
J.D. Duncan grew up in Germany and England, and his debut novel, Article Five, a World War Three novel, was influenced by his upbringing on RAF bases, his love for military history and geopolitical thrillers, and the works of Tom Clancy and Harold Coyle. Drawing on extensive research in military history and contemporary geopolitics, this debut novel reflects years of careful study of the complexities of modern warfare and international relations.
With a career spanning graphic design, education, and leadership, He has worked in diverse roles, including as a school and college teacher and a senior NHS manager. His commitment to equity and leadership is evident in his non-fiction writing and in his volunteer work, including serving as a governor for an NHS Trust and a Council member of the English Schools Football Association.
Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the Yorkshire Dales, and competing in chess tournaments.
