Stafford L. Battle

Stafford Battle is an AFROFuturist. In 1996, he co-authored the African American Resource Guide to the Internet and Online Services published by McGraw-Hill. Later, he authored, Afrocyberspace: 1000+ Web Sites That Will Enrich Your World. He is an original Black Pioneer of the Net that was involved in Internet connectivity before the World Wide Web.

Now, he focuses his talents on speculative fiction such as AFRO Sci-Fi Anthology, Rage of the Mamba, New African Fables for Adults, Resurrecting the King and the AFROFuturist Bible. He is a contributor to several short story collections and online publications. He participates in sci-fi cons and social media podcasts.

He has had many “day jobs” to cover bills and raise a tech-savvy daughter who is now a Ph.D. As an Instructional Designer, he works with medical students to re-imagine modern healthcare.

Stafford is a political progressive and religious agnostic. He promotes that AFROFuturism can provide a path to a better future for all of us regardless of race or culture.
