Following a stroke Tom was slowly recovering his faculties and was being nursed back to health by his loving wife Patricia in suburban Tonbridge Woods in the south of England. After weeks of therapy, there is a sudden step change in the progress of Tom’s recovery Along with the improvements a new self makes itself known by talking to him, in his mind. While exercising in the park Tom overhears two bank employees planning to rob the courier of the multi-thousand pound proceeds a drug dealer’s gang. Meanwhile Tom discovers that his new inner self can also read the thoughts of anyone in his immediate vicinity. Tom alerts the police who manage to intercept the cash and arrest the courier. The leader of the gang, AKA ‘K’, kidnaps Tom’s wife threatening to let his second in command, ‘J’, loose on his attractive wife, if Tom does not return the cash within two days. K attempts to flee with recovered cash and heads for the Channel Tunnel only to be arrested by the Chunnel Authorities who return him to the police station in Tonbridge Woods. Tom uses his new found powers to interrogate K and uncover the whereabouts of the missing cash. In order to persuade K to reveal where he has imprisoned Tricia Tom employs a mind probe to break down the criminal’s resistance. But when the police arrived at that address, Trficia had been moved elsewhere.
